K-12 Education

Volusia County Schools has established a solid reputation for innovation, excellence and commitment to quality education. The district serves Volusia County’s 16 cities, with more than 60,000 students. The district is composed of 24 elementary schools, 13 middle schools, 10 high schools, 7 charter schools and 2 combination schools. The district offers dozens of academies in its high schools. These academies are focused on a concentrated area of study such as law and government, digital video production, engineering, communications, health services, design and manufacturing, and many more. Two high schools offer the International Baccalaureate program of study.
