South Daytona is a community on the banks of the Halifax River. Known for its well-kept residential areas, excellent schools, beautiful public parks, and abundant shopping and dining opportunities, the City’s compact size and progressive leadership allow it to accommodate business development in a timely and responsive manner.
Business park spaces are available for manufacturing and other industrial uses along the City’s main commercial corridors, U.S. 1/South Ridgewood Avenue and South Nova Road. Both are within easy access to I-4 and I-95. Amid plenty of new development, old Florida charm is still evident on parts of U.S. 1, the old main highway that runs the length of the state. The Halifax River is a key feature of South Daytona, and boaters enjoy easy access through a popular boat launch in a beautiful park setting. There are a total of nine parks within the city’s four square miles, and there are still several large tracts of waterfront property available for mixed-use development.
South Daytona has been named a “Green Local Government at the Gold Level” from the Florida Green Building Coalition, one of a small number of cities to receive this designation. Its energy conservation, use of hybrid vehicles, and responsible recycling and water-use programs earned it this prestigious award. A progressive community with small-town ambiance, South Daytona is a great place for business.
South Daytona offers diverse opportunities for businesses looking to relocate or expand.
