Enterprise Florida, Government, Business Leaders Meet in Volusia County

For the first time ever, Enterprise Florida Inc., held its Board of Directors meeting in Volusia County.  The meeting was held on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which provided a perfect setting in which local leaders welcomed their guests and touted Volusia County as an influential player in drafting Florida’s economic future.  Addressing the Board of Directors and guests were:

  • Lesa Kennedy, Vice Chairman of NASCAR
  • Mori Hosseini, Chairman & CEO of ICI Homes; Chairman, University of Florida Board of Trustees; Chairman, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Board of Trustees; Board of Directors, Enterprise Florida, Inc.; Board of Directors, Space Florida
  • P. Barry Butler, President, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
  • Jordan Jiloty, Chairman of Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation

Special thanks to our investors who participated in hosting the three-day event: NASCAR, The Daytona, Autograph Collection Hotel, Daytona State College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  In addition, we are grateful for the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, Secretary of Commerce Jamal Sowell and Enterprise Florida Board Member Mori Hosseini, who assisted with the decision to bring this high-profile meeting to Volusia County. At the conclusion of the meeting, Florida Secretary of Commerce Jamal Sowell recognized our own Keith Norden for his years of persistence in promoting Volusia County as a premier venue for a future EFI quarterly Board meeting.
