Team Volusia EDC to Host Enterprise Florida Board Meeting in Volusia County

Enterprise Florida, Inc., (EFI) a public-private partnership of business and government leaders, has announced the June 2021 Board of Directors meeting will be held in Daytona Beach.  Enterprise Florida’s goal is to promote Florida as a premier business destination and to expand the state’s economy through private-sector job creation.  Gov. Ron DeSantis is the chair of EFI and is engaged in its activities and mission. The organization works closely with a statewide network of economic development partners.

Team Volusia EDC and Enterprise Florida staff is working closely with Enterprise Florida Board member, Mori Hosseini, to ensure the meeting will be a success.  A host of other community partners are involved including Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, NASCAR and The Daytona, an Autograph Collection Hotel.

Several years ago, a joint invitation was issued to the Governor and Enterprise Florida officials to invite the group to host their first meeting in the Greater Daytona Region.  Three local organizations came together for the invitation including the Volusia County Council, CEO Business Alliance and Team Volusia EDC.

We are excited to host leaders from across the State of Florida as we raise awareness of the many assets of our region.  Additionally, we are grateful for the leadership of Governor DeSantis, Secretary of Commerce Jamal Sowell and Enterprise Florida Board Member Mori Hosseini, who assisted with the decision to bring this high profile meeting to Volusia County.
