Chris Wimsatt obtained the professional designation of Certied Economic Developer (CEcD) in September. Chris is the third professional to have the certied economic developer designation at Team Volusia EDC. Matt Chesnut was awarded his professional designation (CEcD) in March 2012 and Keith Norden earned his designation in September 1995, when he became a Certied Economic Developer (CEcD). In Florida, only the Hillsborough County and Pinellas County Economic Development Departments have a greater number of certied economic development professionals in their organizations, with four each.
