Celebrating a Local Leader’s Community Contributions

Going above and beyond for the community

Dr. Bradley has served the Greater Daytona Region in manifold ways. In addition to serving as a board member with Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation, she has worked with the FUTURES Foundation, which serves to support Volusia County public schools, the Museum of Arts & Sciences, and many other organizations. Dr. Bradley also serves as the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of the University of Central Florida’s Daytona Beach Campus, helping to further connect Daytona Beach and the Greater Daytona Region (and its talented pool of students) with the rest of the Sunshine State.

Inside the Marvin Samuels Memorial Leadership Award

The Marvin Samuels Memorial Leadership Award is awarded every year to Daytona Beach
Leadership Council members who have gone “above and beyond” in contributing to their
community through broad involvement in community and volunteer programs. It is named after
the late local attorney Marvin Samuels, who made his own mark on the community through
ample volunteer work.

More event highlights

In addition to honoring Dr. Bradley, the annual event highlighted the efforts of small businesses
and non-profits. Vann Data Services received the Small Business of the Year Award (10-50
employees) for their work in providing the Greater Daytona Region business with computer
networking and IT support services. Port Orange’s Dredging & Marine Consultants received the
Small Business of the Year Award for businesses with 10 or fewer employees; Holly Hill’s Family
Renew Community received the honor of Nonprofit of the Year; and Halifax Health Foundation’s
Kathryn Nagib was named Young Professional of the Year.
We are proud of Dr. Bradley’s contributions to the community! Stay tuned to Team Volusia as we
continue to share news and highlights about some of the area’s most active leaders, and the way
they make their mark on the Greater Daytona Region every day.
